LOHAS是Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability 的缩写，大意是“崇尚健康和具有可持续性的生活方式”。这是美国社会学家Paul Ray 及其同事在经过多年调查之后，于1998年提出的概念。在欧美，LOHAS已成为一种流行的生活方式。该词被意译为“乐活”，寓意是快乐生活，也被音译为“洛哈斯”。与“乐活”相关的行为和观念对我们来说并不陌生，如：
